PROJECT CHANGE
We are a collaboration of high schoolers and adults committed to improving the Olney area community
by providing positive opportunities for our youth. We receive strong support from
local businesses and
civic organizations.
PROJECT CHANGE PIONEERS: Sherwood high school students who were original PROJECT CHANGE organizers, along with
Sherwood principal Jim Fish, display the 1999 Green Cross National Safety Award from the National Safety Council,
awarded to PROJECT CHANGE based on the group's safety belt checks at Sherwood and its volunteer participation in National Night Out.

Area youth and adults recognize the lack of productive activities offered for teens in the general Olney area.
The results of that lack range from frequent boredom to more serious health and safety issues for teens.
In PROJECT CHANGE, youth and adults work together to resolve this community dilemma.
We do TWO things:
1) work to find and fund permanent dedicated space for teens
2) provide and/or publicize a wide variety of ongoing activities for teens in a variety of venues that are interesting to teens.
